Nickodemus is a traveler at heart—a connector of worlds, scenes, and people since the mid-90s. An essential reference on the New York scene and a pillar of the Afro-tropical groove movement, the legendary New York DJ/producer, founder of the Wonderwheel Recordings label and his famous Turntables on the Hudson parties, is considered one of the most talented Djs, well-known for his mesmerizing dj sets putting all the dancefloors on fire! Over his extensive career as a touring DJ and producer – including six albums, more than 50 singles & EPs, and several compilations of cutting edge up incoming producers from around the world – Nickodemus remains one of the most important leaders of global fusion and the heavy beats we yearn for in the club.
His career began at the age of 14, when he became one of New York’s first eclectic DJs, blending reggae, house music, hip-hop, and jazz. He became known to the general public with his huge hit “Mi Swing Es Tropical” with Quantic and Candela, but he’s also lent his “Remix Machine” to a wide range of artists including pioneers like Bob Marley and Nina Simone, as well as other like minded genre-welders like Thievery Corporation, and Mr. Scruff.
Known in many circles around the world for his inimitable style rooted in the many cultures of New York City, Nickodemus blends influences from Latin, African, Middle Eastern, and Caribbean diasporas, combining them with local sounds such as House, Disco, and Hip-Hop with a unique style. Supported and regularly invited by DJs like Gilles Peterson, Mr. Scruff, Quantic, and Guts, he continues to travel the world to help us discover new sounds from the four corners of the globe in legendary DJ sets. By combining heavy club rhythms with organic Latin, African, and Oriental music, Nickodemus has truly left his mark on world music.

Edna Martinez is one of the most prominent figures in the contemporary global club scene and the revival of Picó Sound System culture. As a DJ, producer, and curator originally from the Caribbean coast of Colombia and based in Berlin, she has become a central driving force in sharing traditional champeta and Cartagena’s Picó sound system culture with the world.
Beyond DJing, Martinez shapes musical dialogue through curatorial practice. She was selected for the prestigious Keychange Talent program (2026), an international program recognizing artists shaping the future of music. She has also served as Sound Curator at Haus der Kulturen der Welt (Berlin), led projects like LatinArab and El Volcán, hosted residencies on NTS, Radio Alhara, and Worldwide FM, and collaborated with labels such as Other People, Gallo, and Sofrito Records. In June 2025, she released her debut compilation Picó! Sound System Culture From the Colombian Caribbean on Strut Records, a landmark project tracing the legacy and evolution of Picó culture through archival selections, edits, and remixes. Martinez shares her research through written texts, film, and lecture performances, including her acclaimed appearance at Oslo World 2025, and directed the documentary Picó: Voices of a Sonic Culture (2025).
Her DJ sets bridge local histories with global electronic sounds, blending deep basslines, diasporic beats, UK funky, and SWANA regional influences, and her perfomances have reached audiences at major venues and festivals, such as Panorama Bar/Berghain, Glastonbury, Fusion, Le Guess Who, as well as communities in Palestine, Lebanon, Morocco, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, and Chile. Through her dynamic live sets, Edna Martinez continues to redraft the boundaries of electronic music by honoring its deep, organic roots.
