The project was born from the encounter between vinyl and tropical music. Wayo Sound evolves in a musical universe ranging from the 50s to the present day. Inspired by the work of renowned names such as Samy Ben Redjeb (Analog Africa), Miles Cleret (Soundway), Hugo Mendez (Sofrito) and Emil Omar (Fanon), Wayo Sound offers eclectic sets that blend the music of yesterday with the rhythms of today. To regularly update and renew his selection, he digs forgotten records, and each trip becomes an opportunity to discover and share little-known sounds. For almost a year, he has been offering regular Tropical Rhythms evenings in Montpellier (34) to an ever-growing audience. Reggae, Latin, Afro, Kompas, Kadence and edits of all kinds, are the many hats he wears to adapt to the demands of the public. It’s always a great pleasure for him to be there and whatever the crowd, they have to dance. Annou dansé!
